Infrastructure administration
The waterway system for the South Bay community consists of multiple acres of open waterways, coastal wetland preservation areas and planted wetland and upland mitigation areas.
The CDD is responsible for oversight and monitoring of these areas, including control structure maintenance and repairs.
Interior lakes and ponds are inspected and/or treated monthly.
Wetlands are monitored annually for compliance with local and State government reporting standards.
Stormwater retention ponds and lake features are treated monthly for invasive species control.
Wetland and mitigation area success reporting is submitted semi-annually to governmental regulatory agencies.
